Riddor Safety International is crucial to safeguarding assets and lives, and we uphold ourselves to the most stringent of expectations, complying not just with local laws and regulations, but also with the exacting requirements of Ontario insurance companies and international code of practices. We do high-quality installation and maintenance for your fire alarm systems. Our range of products includes both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems for larger projects.

 Types of Fire Alarm Systems

 Conventional Fire Alarm Systems

With simple on-and-off switches, these alarms are designed for small facilities. This is an inexpensive alarm system but can be difficult to locate the exact location of the alarm.

Addressable Fire Alarm Systems

These are made up of a series of monitored individual fire detectors and devices that are connected back to a central control panel. Each device has a unique address/location for quick identification in the event of a fire. This system is more advanced and is less likely to go into trouble by a false alarm.

Whether you need a new system installed or require a major retrofit of your building, Riddor Fire Department has the experience to complete the job to fit into the tightest budget yet still meet requirements of the Fire Code

Supplies and preventative maintenance (testing to you and me) of your Fire Alarm panel, call points, smoke detectors and sounders.

As well as the more frequent tests that you the user / responsible person for the building should carry out and document, you should also have your Fire Alarm equipment tested regularly to BS5839 Part 1

The inspection and servicing should be undertaken by organisations with the appropriate competence. This can be assured by the use of organisations that are third party certificated, by a registered accredited certification body, specifically to carry out inspection and servicing of fire detection and fire alarm systems.

We can help with your fire alarm regular testing by implementing an attendance schedule to test your equipment and ensure your premises remains compliant.

Any testing carried out, either by you or your nominated third-party organization should be recorded in your fire equipment log book. This log book should be kept in a safe and readily available location in case visiting emergency services need to reference it.
